Blue Sky Studios Life Sketches II
Just a couple from this week. I think I was preoccupied during the drawing sessions: I found it quite hard to get into it. Maybe this week after the long weekend break will prove better for drawing.

That's it for now folks. Go play with your cats.

Blue Sky Studios Life Sketches
A few of us at work like to go into a small room in the back of the studio every day, lower the lights, turn a space heater on, and draw each other in bizarre positions. I'll be posting the results of 'sexy-time', as will some of the other 'members' like Andrew Coats. (All of these are between 30-60 second long poses. That's my excuse.)

Experiencing some scanner fatigue. That's it for this week.

It's time!
It's time to resurrect this blog! Horton Hears A Who is done done done and while we get ourselves together for Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, I'll have some more time to devote to drawing stuff what is in the world. So let's get some sketches up in here! We'll start where we ended with a picture that I drew for the excellent Blue Sky Challenge blog. The theme this time around was Indiana Jones and His Massive Dissapointment. Just kidding, I'm sure it will be awesome. Just Kidding.

Not So Hot
I've always been better at drawing from imagination, but I don't think I was always quite this crap at life drawing. I took the same McMullan courses at SVA as Khary Randolph and James Jean and their life drawings are nothing short of stunning. The sense of rhythm in their figures and sensitivity to form and energy is exactly what I aspire to. Maybe one day I'll get it. In the meantime, you'll have to put up with this shite:

If you haven't checked out the BlueSky Studios sketchblog, I suggest you do so post-haste.
Here's my quick stab at their topic this week.
